NEW
Switchgear breakdowns are frequently caused by excessively high contact resistance at breakpoints and busbar joints. Moreover, overheating risks are becoming more serious due to the fact that today's distribution networks have to carry heavier loads. Checking contact resistances at regular intervals detects faults before they cause overheating. And here, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Micro-ohmmeters are used to measure contact resistances in high-voltage breakers, disconnecting switches (isolators), knife-contact fuses, bus joints, line joints etc.

The MOM600A™ is in a class apart on world markets. Designed for use from the arctic to the tropics, this rugged, compact micro-ohmmeter is ideal for field work. A complete set of equipment includes a set of highly flexible cables (including separate measurement cables) and a sturdy transport case.

Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeters (DLRO) are a family of highly accurate instruments that provide a simple, practical and reliable means of making low-resistance tests in the field. They also are ideal for production quality control.

They operate on the four-wire measurement principle, thus eliminating lead and contact resistances. With basic accuracies of ±0.25% and resolution down to 0.1 µΩ, they are nonetheless designed to be rugged and portable for use at the job site. A variety of optional test leads and calibration resistance standards are offered for use with DLROs.

Operation is simple: just connect the leads, turn the instrument on and read the measurement directly from the digital LED display. No warm-up is required.

Typical applications include measuring the resistance of:
- Switch and circuit breaker contacts
- Transformers and generators
- Motor windings
- Busbar and other joints
- Aircraft, rail and pipe bonds
- Cable splices, welds and fuses
- Metal alloys
- Graphite electrodes and other composites
- Wire and cable

Currently, Biddle DLRO 24700 series has gone obsolete. You still have Biddle DLRO 24700 series and do not know where to service or repair?

The TTR300 Series of three-phase transformer turns ratio test sets are designed to measure the turns ratio of power, instrument, and distribution transformers in a substation or manufacturing environment. The instruments are ideal for use by power transformer manufacturers. Their unique testing procedures and storage capability allows an operator to setup and test difficult three-phase transformers in a fraction of the time than it used to take with other TTRs.
The TTR300 Series also measure the phase deviation of the transformer primary versus secondary. This quickly indicates problems such as partial shorted turns and core faults. This is also useful in verifying phase errors in all types of PTs and CTs.
Each unit comes equipped with a remote-control switch for single person testing. This allows the operator to test transformers with LTCs very quickly.

The Three-Phase Automatic TTR is designed to measure the turns ratio of power, instrument, and distribution transformers in a substation or manufacturing environment. At 16.5 lbs (7.5 kg), it weighs less than any other commercially available instrument. A rugged and robust design makes this TTR well suited for use in a variety of harsh environments. The TTR is also particularly suited for testing in power transformer manufacturing environments where testing of complex, three-phase substation power transformers can be performed quickly while minimizing the possibility of errors. This new TTR measures the highest turns ratio range in the industry (10,000:1) and also provides the highest accuracy (0.1%).

The Single-phase TTR® Transformer Turns Ratio Test Set measures the turns ratio and exciting current of windings in power, potential and current transformers. Deviations in turns ratio readings indicate problems in one or both windings or the magnetic core circuit.

The TTR test set aids in identifying:
 - Shorted coils
 - Open circuits
 - Incorrect connections
 - Internal faults or tap-changer defects in step regulators as well as in transformers.

The single-phase, hand-cranked model measures highly sensitive turns ratios of up to 129.99:1 with accuracy of ±0.1%. An optional auxilary transformer extends the ratio range to 329.99:1.

The TTR set operates on the principle that the voltage ratio of the transformer at no load is practically equal to the true turns ratio.

The major source of error in a transformer is a primary impedance drop due to magnetizing current, which is kept to a minimum by excitation at a fraction of rated voltage. By employing a design that meets both of these conditions along with the use of a null balance system, the turns ratio of a transformer can be determined accurately.

When measuring the turns ratio of distribution and power transformers, the accuracy is well within 0.1%.

The OTS60AF/2, OTS80AF/2 and OTS100AF/2 are used for determining the dielectric strength of liquid insulants, such as the insulating oils used in transformers, switchgear and other electrical apparatus.

The test sets are fully automatic. The operator has simply to prepare the test vessel, load it with sample oil, place it in the test chamber, select the appropriate specification for the tests and then start the test sequence. The test set carries out automatically (and if necessary unattended) the sequence of tests as defined by the pre-selected national specification.

The TM1800™ is the instrument platform for circuit breaker maintenance, based on more than 20 years’ experience of over 4,000 delivered breaker analyzers. The modular construction makes it possible to configure the TM1800 for measurements on all known types of circuit breakers in operation on the world market.

The robust design contains powerful technology that streamlines circuit breaker testing. Sophisticated measurement modules enable great time savings as many parameters can be measured simultaneously, eliminating the need for new setup each time.

The patented DualGround™ testing using the DCM module makes the testing safe and time saving by keeping the circuit breaker grounded on both sides throughout the test. The DCM module uses a measuring technology called Dynamic Capacitive Measurement.

Timing M/R is using the patented Active Interference Suppression to obtain correct timing and accurate PIR (Pre-Insertion Resistor) values in high voltage substations.

An adaptive, easy-to-use software suite supports activities from timing, simply turning a knob without the need for presetting, to advanced help functions for hooking up to the test object. A full keyboard and 8” color screen is the front end of the high-level user interface. The Select-Connect-Inspect workflow guides you to fast results in three steps. Testing is made easier to learn and perform. The system also offers full connection capability to the local network, printers etc.
